The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below zero overnight (between February 2 and February 3). NWS has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for our area beginning Thursday night, but has not indicated that they expect to issue a wind chill warning. As a reminder, the factors we consider to determine a school closure due to cold:
If a Wind Chill Warning is issued by the National Weather Service, schools will most likely be closed.
If a Wind Chill Watch or Advisory is issued, schools will most likely be open.
