4th Grade Strings Demo | Wednesday, May 15th at 10 AM | Winnequah Gym

I’ll demonstrate the instrument options: the violin, viola, and cello. 5th graders can also select the upright bass. We encourage students who wish to study the bass in 5th grade to start with the cello in 4th grade.

Family arrival: Please arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before the concert. Park in the upstairs lot, enter at the main entrance and follow the crowd to the gym. Ms. Fassl will meet you at the main entrance to the gym. Only park and enter from the lower lot if you’re unable to use the stairs or elevator inside the building or need a shorter route.

Following the concert, students will get to walk through the orchestra to see their friends and their instruments up close. Then, they’ll take a short survey in their homeroom classes about what they liked best. This is for their own reflection and doesn’t lock them into a specific instrument for next year. They’ll pick in the fall.

I’ll send out additional information about class selection and rental information, school rentals are available for families in need, as the fall approaches.
